Hello friends,i hope you are doing well and you are healthy;).Last time around we were done with the introduction and we taught you how to make Melemen,i hope all of you have a great experience with your first ever self-made Turkish breakfast.Now its time to experience a new recipe,are you ready,here we go:


Its the nickname given to our new recipe,we call it Patatesli Yumurta(Potato egg) but Yumpat suits it cool.Its one of the unevitable recipe of Turkish breakfast,so simple to cook and so delicious in taste.Let's go straight to the tutorial for single person:


  1. Two to three medium sized potatoes upto your wish,
  2. Two eggs,
  3. Salt,spices.
  4. Sliced Cheese that is used for Pizza(Optional,you may not use it,but it tastes great,i recommend).

First of all,put some oil in the fry pan,provide it some normal heat,i prefer enough oil so that the potatoes can swim,this way you can have chrispy potatoes,but you may not use enough oil,just make sure that the potatoes don't get sticked to the pan due to less oil,always use non-sticky pan,meanwhile cut the Potatoes into a small,cubic shape,you can make the cubic shape by:
  • Firstly,slice the potato into four from upside down,
  • For each slice,now do the same and cut each slice into for from upside down respectively,
  • Finally,cut from left to right in a way that you get small cubic potatoes.
As you see the oil gets heated,put the potatoes into the pan,add salt and raise the heat abit.Some prefer Yumpat chrispy while some prefer it soft,as mentioned above,you can have chrispy potatoes by having enough oil in the pan that the potatoes swim,as for soft Yumpat,just enough oil is required for the potatoes to get wet,you should make sure that the potatoes don't stick,keep an eye.As you feel the potatoes get cooked,take the oil out of the pan,just leave enough oil for the eggs to be cooked,now add eggs,you may have a pizza looking yumpat if you add four eggs,don't mix the eggs on the pan,once you have added the eggs,let them be cooked,you will feel yourself that the eggs have turned into the bread of pizza.Your Yumpat is ready,you may apply cheese after its cooked,wait it inside the pan,close the cap for a while,the cheese will give you the pizza look,add some spices,have a nice breakfast.

Hello Dear Friends from around the World,we hope that you are healthy and fine,health comes first and food is the most important component for our health.Around the world there are thousands or may be millions of food cultures available,if we see from continent to continent there are some countries which have their influence on food culture,let's take the foods of Pakistan and India,we all know that their spicy recipies have won the hearts of people across the globe,Biryani,Chicken Karahi,Tikka,Achar Gosht,Butter chicken and so on,no one can reject the fact that this part of the world has a beautiful culture of spicy food,Sweets too like Ras Malai,Sheer Khurma,Kheer,Ras Gulle,Chum Chum and many other will make your mouth water and you can't resist to taste them atleast once in your life.As we have so many immigrants from Pakistan,India in UK and USA,we can find so many restaurants and easily find the recipies.

Our moto for this page is to teach you a new food culture,that is Turkish food,yes it can't be said new but to be honest,living in Turkey as a foreigner from about 7 years,we have realised that due to lack of English in this country,this beautiful culture can't be expressed widely,i was in Europe for sometime and while asking people about Turkish food there,they told me about Kebaps,i have eaten the so called Kebap bread in Europe but this isn't the end of Turkish food my Friends,what if i tell you that i ate a dish at three different friends houses,each dish was cooked in a different way,we will try our best to come up with all the recipies that range from a breakfast at home to the dishes at the restaurants.Meanwhile we will make sure that while you learn the recipies,you learn some Turkish words so that when you come to Turkey,you use those words with Turkish people,it will make them happy,i ensure you about the hostile nature of Turkish people,they love foreigners and if you speak some Turkish words,you surely have won their hearts,let's get ready our friends,feel free to comment and ask anything related to Turkish food,Turkish or Turkey:)


well if you haven't ever witnessed a real Turkish breakfast table,i suggest better not see it,i too was very surprised when i once went to a family,they are hostile i knew it,but the way they scattered the table with so many items,it was much more than hostile,it was a kind of Guard of Honor breakfast for me:
